#1. District 2, An Phu Hotpot Restaurant HAIDILAO Estella Place Review
Haidilao, famous for its hotpot restaurants, operates about ten stores in Ho Chi Minh City alone. All stores are located in large shopping malls or landmarks, making them easily accessible, and they are very attractive places where you can enjoy authentic hotpot at a cheaper price than other countries.

I visited the Estella Place shopping mall in District 2 with four friends on Thursday evening. It is always crowded even on weekday evenings, so it is recommended to make a reservation if possible. The restaurant interior did not differ much from store to store and was similar to Haidilao in other countries.

Haidilao has a fun service where if there is a customer who comes alone, they will sit their mascot doll across from him. Since there were no customers who came alone that day, I kidnapped the doll and sat it down my table.

One of Haidilao's greatest charms is that you can make your own sauce using dozens of different ingredients at the sauce self bar, including garlic, green onions, shallot flakes, cilantro, chili peppers, sesame oil, chili oil, XO sauce, and mushroom sauce.

It's a good idea to make your own sauce by following the recommended recipe posted on the wall of the self bar, but it's also not bad to make your own by adding your own favorite ingredients. Personally, I like to make a spicy flavor with chopped chili peppers and chili oil, and add flavor and aroma with cilantro, green onions, and shallot flakes.

Haidilao offers up to four hotpot broths to choose from, but I only chose two. Since some of my companions don’t like spicy food, I chose the refreshing tomato soup and the signature mushroom soup. If it’s not spicy enough, you can add some chopped chili peppers from the self bar.

For the broth, we ordered vegetables such as oyster mushroom, king oyster mushroom, enoki mushroom, bok choy, and cabbage, as well as shrimp balls, cheese tofu, and beef. Once the broth starts boiling, add them and cook until just cooked through.

You can enjoy delicious hotpot at a reasonable price by ordering common ingredients such as lamb rolls, beef ribs, neck, and shoulder instead of expensive ingredients like A5 grade wagyu.

Ordering tofu skin, Chinese glass noodle, and kung fu noodle and eating them in broth makes a filling and good meal. Tofu skin in particular is a good match for hotpot because it is inexpensive, has a large portion, and absorbs broth well and is delicious.

As the broth began to boil, I added various ingredients evenly. Vegetables and thin meats cook quickly, so you can quickly take them out and eat them, while thick meats, cheese tofu, fish cakes need to be given enough time to cook.

It's been a while since I visited, and I saw a few beers made by Haidilao. I ordered Haidilao Light Lager. It tastes similar to Tsingtao, and although the price is a bit high, I felt like it was a beer worth ordering.

Kung Fu Noodle is actually hand-pulled noodles, so the taste is good, but since the noodles often hit the floor or walls during the show, there may be hygiene issues. Nevertheless, I always order it just to watch the show.

I had a delicious meal with Kung Fu noodle and various ingredients in the hot pot broth. If you order a mild broth and you feel it need spicy flavor, you can add some chopped chili peppers and chili oil from the sauce self bar to make it spicier.

If you visit in the evening, you can also see the mask changing show. It is not as good as the original show, but it is enough to enjoy while eating. The mask changing show has a set course during the show, so if you don't have a good seat, you may not be able to see it well.

Guests waiting or having finished their meal can get free nail service near the entrance. With less than 800,000VND per person, you can enjoy not only high-quality hot pot, but also nail and mask changing show, making this a truly attractive restaurant.

#2. Hotpot Restaurant HAIDILAO Menu
The menu of Haidilao in Ho Chi Minh City has most of the menus that you can find in Haidilao in other countries, and there are some that are not there, but there are also some that are added. The prices are generally about 30% cheaper than in Korea or Singapore, and if you don’t order expensive menus like A5 grade wagyu or kaoliang liquor, you can get a great meal at a reasonable price.

Including 8% VAT, the total came to about 3,200,000VND, but with five people visiting, it was 640,000VND per person, so Haidilao in Vietnam was definitely cheaper than in other countries like Korea or Singapore. It is a really attractive restaurant where you can enjoy high-quality hot pot at a reasonable price unless you order expensive menus like A5 grade wagyu or expensive liquor.
