#1. District Binh Thanh, Saigon Pearl Dimsum Restaurant Nam Hoa Review
Dimsum restaurant Nam Hoa Noodles & Asian Kitchen has stores in the Sarami Apartment Complex in Thu Thiem, District 2 and the Saigon Pearl Apartment Complex in Binh Thanh District. This newly opened restaurant is popular with people living nearby because it offers a variety of dimsum and noodles at reasonable prices.
They also have tables set up on the street in front of the restaurant, so it's nice to eat outside on cool evenings. I visited alone on a Wednesday evening and sat at an outdoor table.
I ordered a Dua Tuoi(Fresh Coconut) to go with my meal, and it was cute because it had the restaurant logo and name on it. The price was reasonable at 30,000VND, and it was big and tasty.
For dinner, I ordered the Mi Thap Cam(Mixed Noodles). It is a Chinese noodle dish with egg noodles in a savory clear broth, and is topped with char siu, chicken, fish, egg, shallot flakes, and fried pork lard.
The broth was similar to Mi Sui Cao(Wonton Noodles), and the rich broth, chewy noodles, and various toppings went well together to create a satisfying meal. It was even more delicious when I added a little chili sauce and soy sauce to give it some more excitement.
I ordered Ha Cao Tom(Shrimp Dumplings) as a side to go with the noodles. The dumplings are a bit small, but the thin skin was filled with minced shrimp, and the texture and taste were good for the cheap price.
For the second side, I ordered Chan Ga Tau Xi(Steamed Chicken Feet). It wasn't quite as good as the famous dimsum restaurants in Ho Chi Minh, but it was so tender that the meat easy to fell off the bone in my mouth, and it was well-seasoned and very tasty.
Dimsum restaurant Nam Hoa is a great place to stop by for a meal at a reasonable price in a casual atmosphere.
#2. Dimsum Restaurant Nam Hoa - Menu
Nam Hoa Noodles & Asian Kitchen is a casual dimsum restaurant that serves a variety of dumplings and noodles. It may not be as good as the famous dimsum restaurants in Ho Chi Minh, but it is still worth a visit for its reasonable prices and decent dimsum.
I visited alone for dinner on a Wednesday evening and ordered as follows:
Mi Thap Cam(Mixed Noodles): 75,000VND
Ha Cao Tom(Shrimp Dumplings): 45,000VND
Chan Ga Tau Xi(Steamed Chicken Feet): 50,000VND
Dua Tuoi(Fresh Coconut): 30,000VND
I was able to have a satisfying meal for a reasonable price of 200,000VND. Nam Hoa is a casual dimsum restaurant. It is a bit lacking compared to other famous restaurants, but it is attractive because you can taste decent dimsum and noodles at a low price.
