#1. District 2, Thao Dien Focaccia Sandwich La Focacceria Saigon Review
La Focacceria Saigon, a focaccia sandwich shop, is located in the heart of Thao Dien main street in District 2. Here, you can experience the taste of authentic Italian focaccia sandwiches with a variety of fillings. The coffee, too, is exceptionally delicious, as befitting an Italian cafe. This charming spot attracts a decidedly more Westerners than locals.

I visited alone on a Thursday evening for dinner and sat inside. It's a small cafe, with bar tables inside and a few tables outside on the street. Located on Thao Dien main road, the exhaust can be quite heavy during rush hour, so I recommend dining inside.

When ordering a focaccia sandwich, you can choose between large, medium, and small sizes. You can also choose one of ham or cheese, two antipasti, and one vegetable. Of course, you can add additional fillings for an additional cost.

In addition to coffee and tea, they also sell Italian drinks like San Pellegrino, as well as alcoholic beverages like wine and beer. The selection of alcoholic beverages was even more diverse than I expected, making it a great place to visit for a drink and lunch on the weekend.

They only sold one beer, Corona by the bottle, so I ordered a bottle of Corona. It would have been better if they had Peroni, an Italian beer, but unfortunately, Corona wasn't bad either.

I ordered a large focaccia sandwich, filling it with bresaola, black olives, pesto Genovese, and arugula, with provolone cheese added. The large was too big. I think a medium would have been enough for a full meal.

Between soft focaccia, bresaola, with its characteristically smoky, cheesy aroma and concentrated, meaty flavor, and provolone cheese, with its smoky, tangy flavor, were placed. This sandwich had a stimulating flavor that paired perfectly with red wine.

I chose a strong ham and a strong cheese, which was a bit overpowering, but it paired well with beer. It was definitely an appealing experience, as I was able to enjoy a proper focaccia sandwich with a variety of Italian ingredients.

#2. Focaccia Sandwich La Focacceria Saigon - Menu
La Focacceria Saigon specializes in focaccia sandwiches and offers a wide variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, soda, wine, cocktails, and beer. It's a sandwich shop or cafe, and while prices are generally higher, the great advantage is the wide selection of high-quality Italian hams and cheeses.

I visited alone for dinner on Thursday evening and ordered as follows:
Focaccia(Large): 209,000VND
Extra Cheese(L): 75,000VND
Corona: 85,000VND
Including a 5% service charge, 8% VAT, and 10% alcohol VAT, the total bill came to 420,231VND. While not cheap, the generous portion of high-quality focaccia sandwich with Italian ham and cheese left me deeply satisfied. La Focacceria Saigon also offers a wider selection of alcoholic beverages than expected, making it a great place to enjoy a light meal and a drink on a weekend afternoon.
