#1. District 1, Ben Thanh Market Royal Barbershop Review
One of the most successful barbershops to open in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City after the pandemic, Royal Barbershop is located in an alley in an area with many barbershops across from Ben Thanh Market. Since the end of COVID-19, more than ten barbershops have opened in this area of District 1, and among them, this one is one of the better ones, with many Korean and Chinese customers.
As the quality of service began to decline due to less supply than demand at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that time, this was the first barbershop to open in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It was a place that provided high-quality service compared to other places at the time, which is a great help in improving the quality of the entire shops.
This is also a popular barbershop, so unless you're planning to visit early in the morning, it's recommended to make a reservation. Enjoy a Tra Da(Iced tea) in the waiting room, then follow the staff to the massage room when it's your turn.
I sat in the massage chair and checked the massage intensity and desired services. If you'd like to try all the services, just check the intensity. You can also indicate to the staff which services you don't want by marking them with an X.
If you'd like to enjoy a more private experience, you can opt for a VIP room for an additional 200,000VND. While it costs more, you'll enjoy a quieter and more comfortable environment than a regular massage room.
In the massage room, I received the services in the following order: foot washing, exfoliation, shaving, shoulder massage, cucumber pack, ear cleaning, nail care, leg massage, arm massage. In the shampoo room, I received the services in the following order: leg massage, back massage, shampoo, stretching, drying.
After receiving all service, I went down to the waiting room and finished my Royal Barbershop experience with a Tra Da(Iced Tea). The price of a 90min service recently increased from 400,000VND to 500,000VND, and I was very satisfied with the increase in service levels, not just for the massage.

Royal Barbershop's service costs 400,000VND for 60min and 500,000VND for 90min, which is comparable to other barbershops in the area. For a more private experience, the VIP room costs 700,000VND for 90min. They also offer four-handed service, so just ask the staff if you'd like.
Since last year, the proliferation of barbershops in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, has intensified competition among businesses offering their services. At Royal Barbershop, the price of a 90min service has increased from 400,000VND to 500,000VND. The quality of the massage has significantly improved, and the overall service level has definitely improved, with massage wear now provided.
