#1. District 2, An Phu Sun Avenue Italian Restaurant Tavolo Dello Chef Review
Tavolo Dello Chef is an Italian restaurant located near the Sun Avenue Apartment Complex in An Phu, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. This restaurant is run by a chef from Sardinia, Italy, and is an attractive place where you can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was better than I expected, as you can dine while looking out at the river in front of the restaurant.

It is a cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The space is open and it is located next to the river, so here can enjoy a meal while feeling the cool breeze. I visited alone on a Thursday evening and sat at a table with a good view of the river.

The cutlery on the table was neatly arranged, and it felt like they had put a lot of thought into the design of the plates. And as expected from an Italian restaurant, there was also pepper, salt, and chili oil.

To start the meal, I ordered a glass of sparkling wine, Santero Prosecco. It had a sweet fruity and floral aroma, and was refreshing with a hint of tangyness, making it a great aperitif.

While waiting for my food while drinking sparkling wine, the restaurant owner gave me some cashews. It was fun to peel and eat them one by one, but the salty and rich taste seemed like a better snack to go with beer than wine.

The first dish I ordered was Insalata Caprese. It was a traditional Caprese salad made with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. Anchovies were placed on top of the basil leaves, and a few pickled pepperoncino and olives were added, giving it a rich and spicy taste.

I seasoned it with salt and pepper moderately to taste and ate it with mozzarella and tomatoes. I was able to fully enjoy the rich yet light flavor of the ingredients. It's great as a light salad and also goes well with wine.

Before starting the main meal, I ordered a red wine, Ruffino Chianti. It is an inexpensive wine from the Tuscan region of Italy. It has a strong red color and a slight fruity flavor, but it is a good wine to drink with moderate acidity. It goes well with the simple, non-stimulating Italian cuisine.

The second dish I ordered was Tagliatelle Al Nero Di Seppia. It was a seafood pasta using tagliatelle made with squid ink. It was visually overwhelming with squid, shrimp, and bottarga.

It was a very delicious pasta with a rich, soft, and savory flavor, and was well-balanced with fresh seafood, tomatoes, basil, etc., without being boring or stimulating.

#2. Italian Restaurant Tavolo Dello Chef - Menu
The Italian restaurant Tavolo Dello Chef is an attractive place to taste various Italian dishes at reasonable prices. They serve most of the dishes that come to mind when you think of Italy, such as several salads, pasta, pizza, and salami plates. The alcohol prices are also not bad, so it is a good place to enjoy a light drink with your meal.

I visited alone for dinner on Thursday evening and ordered as follows:
Insalata Caprese: 270,000VND
Tagliatelle Al Nero Di Seppia: 320,000VND
Santero Prosecco(Sparkling Wine): 180,000VND
Ruffino Chianti(Red Wine): 130,000VND x 2 EA = 260,000VND
The total amount was 1,121,200VND, including 8% general VAT and 10% alcohol VAT. It was a bit high for a solo dine-in, but I was able to have a satisfying meal. Tavolo Dello Chef is a charming restaurant that is definitely worth a visit, serving authentic Italian cuisine near the Sun Avenue apartment complex.
