#1. District 2, An Phu Sushi & Tuna Chung Chun Sushi Review
Chung Chun Sushi is located in an alley next to Masteri An Phu Apartment in An Phu, District 2. This restaurant is especially popular with Koreans living in the area, as it offers a variety of high-quality bluefin tuna cuts at reasonable prices and affordable lunch sets.

The first floor of the restaurant is a hall with tables for dining, and there are rooms on the second and third floors. I made a reservation for a room and visited the restaurant on the second floor to have a meal with friends on a Friday evening.

The corkage price at Chung Chun Sushi is not bad at 300,000VND. I brought a bottle of Ballantine's 23 years that day, and they set it up with a bucket of ice and a nice whiskey glasses.

For the meal, we ordered the 4 Person Set Special Bluefin Tuna Sashimi. Before the tuna sashimi came out, they served various sides, and the miso soup came out first. The Miso Soup, made with the broth from shrimp heads, had a savory flavor and a subtle sweetness, which was better than I expected.

Following the miso soup, they also served Futomaki and Sashimi Salad, which were decent enough to be used as a drinking snack until the tuna sashimi came out. The futomaki wasn't bad, but it was disappointing that there weren't many pieces of sashimi in the sashimi salad.

Before the first plate of tuna sashimi came out, they served Soy Sauce Marinated Shrimp as the last side. It was sweet and salty, and was quite edible. Personally, I like shrimp better than crab, which is difficult to eat because of their hard shells.

The first plate of tuna sashimi arrived just as the sides that came before were all gone. The first set included a lot of high-quality cuts, such as Kamatoro, Snazuri, Otoro, Chutoro, Akami, and Mekatoro, which was nice.

The Snazuri is a cut that is chewy and soft and has a rich, oily taste. It was a shame that I could only eat one piece. It is really delicious when wrapped in seaweed and eaten with sprouts and wasabi.

After the Snazuri, I ate the Kamatoro. The fat was evenly distributed throughout the meat like snowflakes, so it was soft and very tasty. This is also a high-quality cut that I can only eat one piece of this set.

Before the second plate of tuna sashimi came out, the basic sides came out, such as Shrimp Tempura, Grilled Salmon Head, and Grilled Abalone with Butter. Overall, it wasn't particularly tasty, but it wasn't bad either and was passable.

The second plate of tuna sashimi consisted of cheaper cuts such as Chutoro, Setoro, Akami, and Red Snapper. Since I had eaten fatty cuts at the first plate, I felt like it was made up of less fatty cuts so that I wouldn't get sick of meal.

They also served shari(sushi rice), so I was able to make sushi by putting wasabi and sashimi on top. If you get tired of just eating sashimi only, making sushi is also a good.

After finishing all the sashimi, I was able to choose one meal to go with the spicy fish stew. The spicy fish stew was spicy yet sweet, but it was not bad as a way to end the meal.

Here, if you order a honmaguro set or sashimi set, can choose between udon and cold soba, I chose udon. The noodles were moderately chewy and had various toppings such as fried tofu, oden, and mugwort, so it was more delicious than I expected.

#2. Sushi & Tuna Chung Chun Sushi - Menu
As a sushi and sashimi specialty restaurant, Chung Chun Sushi’s overall menu prices are a bit high. honmaguro set and sashimi sets come with a variety of sashimi, and the meal after eating sashimi is generous, so I order this every time I visit. The lunch set menu, which consists of sushi, cold buckwheat noodles, salad, and miso soup, is also good and affordable.

I visited with three friends on Friday evening and ordered as follows:
4 Person Set Special Bluefin Tuna Sashimi: 2,900,000VND
Corkage: 300,000VND
Coke: 30,000VND
Including 8% general VAT and 10% alcohol VAT, the total came to 3,494,400VND, which is a reasonable amount compared to what I expected. Chung Chun Sushi is an attractive restaurant where you can enjoy high-quality bluefin tuna sashimi at a reasonable price, and the meal is generous with various side dishes, so you can have a satisfying meal.
