Korean soup & rice restaurant SUBYEON De Nhat Com Canh Thit Lon operates shops in Phu My Hung, District 7 and Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the place to enjoy the most delicious pork soup in Ho Chi Minh City, popular not only with Koreans but also with local Vietnamese. It's hard to find a better place in Vietnam for pork soup.
The restaurant, located in Thao Dien, District 2, is larger than the one in Phu My Hung, District 7. The spacious restaurant fills up with customers during meal times, and you might even have to wait. I visited at 11 a.m. on Sunday for lunch, and there was an empty table, so I was able to eat right away.
After taking a seat and ordering, they immediately brought out the side dishes. While not a huge selection, they included radish kimchi, cabbage kimchi, chives, peppers, onions, and ssam, all of which go well with pork soup or boiled pork.
The food prices here aren't bad, but the alcohol prices feel a bit high. But I couldn't resist drinking soju with boiled pork. I waited for my food while drinking soju and beer with radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi.
I ordered the boiled pork as a meal and a snack. It took about 10 minutes to arrive, but it might take longer if there are a lot of customers. It consisted of boiled pork belly and pork shoulder, and six pieces of sundae were also served.
The medium-sized portion of boiled pork is a bit small for three people, but just right for two. The boiled pork here is incredibly tender and moist, with no gamey odor whatsoever. When I dipped it in ssamjang or seasoned sauce, the soju went down smoothly.
Pork soup was also served according to the number of people. It only contains green onions, and the white broth has a lighter and cleaner taste than it looks.
I added chives and seasonings to the broth and ate it with boiled pork, which was absolutely delicious. The boiled pork here is incredibly appealing as a meal or as a snack with drinks.
After finishing the boiled pork, I had some leftover alcohol, so I ordered some steamed dumplings. It takes about 15 minutes for the food to arrive, so I recommend ordering ahead.
The dumplings here were unusually shaped, neither round nor crescent-shaped. They were filled with just the right amount of filling and were quite tasty.

SUBYEON De Nhat Com Canh Thit Lon is a popular restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City serving some of the most delicious pork soup. At reasonable prices, you can enjoy food like pork soup, intestines soup, and sundae soup. In addition to soup, they also serve cold noodles, boiled pork. Unfortunately, alcohol prices are a bit higher than those at other nearby Korean restaurants.
I visited with a friend for lunch on Sunday and ordered as follows:
Boiled Pork(Medium): 700,000VND
Steamed Dumpling: 110,000VND
Jinro Soju: 150,000VND x 2 EA = 300,000VND
Tiger Beer: 50,000VND
For a reasonable 1,160,000VND, I was able to enjoy a satisfying meal and a drink of boiled pork and soju. SUBYEON De Nhat Com Canh Thit Lon is the best pork soup restaurant in Ho Chi Minh. If you love pork soup, you absolutely must visit this place when in Ho Chi Minh City.
