#1. District 7, Phu My Hung Pork Cutlet Restaurant OPUS82 Review
The pork cutlet restaurant OPUS82 is located on the first floor of the Phu My Hung Sky Garden Apartment Complex in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, near Phuc Long and Paris Baguette. This restaurant has been around for a long time and serves meals such as pork cutlets, fried rice, rice bowls, noodles, pasta, and pizza, as well as snacks to go with drinks such as grilled dried pollack, nachos, sausages, and spicy whelks with noodles. It is a famous restaurant in Phu My Hung where many students visit just to eat because of pork cutlets.
I visited on a Friday evening to have a meal alone and took a seat in the corner. The Audrey Hepburn photos and lighting hanging here and there created a rather sophisticated atmosphere, and it felt more like a cozy neighborhood cafe.
OPUS82 sells a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, including bottled beers such as Hoegaarden, Blanc 1664, Tiger, Stella, and Budweiser, as well as wine. The only draft beer they have is Sapporo. When I ordered Sapporo draft beer, they served it with roasted peanuts.
I ordered garlic pork cutlet for my meal, and cream soup and egg soup were served first. Cabbage kimchi and pickled radish were served as side dishes.
After finishing the cream soup and spending some time sipping beer, the garlic pork cutlet arrived. The large plate was filled with a pork cutlet, cabbage salad, and rice. Compared to other pork cutlet restaurants, the pork cutlet at OPUS82 came with quite a lot of rice, which was nice.
The thick pork cutlet was topped with demi-glace sauce, white garlic sauce, and garlic flakes, creating an appetizing visual.
Two thin layers of pork were placed inside a moderately crispy batter, giving the satisfying texture of chewing meat without being tough. With the sweet and sour demi-glace sauce, refreshing white garlic sauce, and the rich flavor and aroma of garlic flakes, it was the first time in a long time that I tasted a really delicious pork cutlet.

OPUS82 offers meals such as pork cutlets, fried rice, rice bowls, noodles, pasta, and pizza, as well as snacks to go with drinks such as grilled dried pollack, nachos, sausages, and spicy whelks with noodles at reasonable prices. From 9:00am to 3:00pm, they also serve brunch menus such as beef quesadillas, chicken sandwiches, and burgers, and they also have a wide variety of alcoholic beverages such as various beers, sangria, and wine.
I visited alone for dinner on a Friday evening and ordered as follows:
Garlic Pork Cutlet: 180,000VND
Sapporo Draft Beer: 50,000VND x 2 EA =100,000VND
I was able to have a very satisfying meal for a low price of 280,000VND. OPUS82 is a restaurant that is more like a pub than a pork cutlet restaurant, and it is an attractive place where you can taste various Korean-style Western dishes and snacks at a reasonable price. It is not bad to go for a meal alone, and it is also a good neighborhood restaurant to visit with friends for a drink.
